Success in Marriage



My wife and I have just recently celebrated our 52nd wedding anniversary. And over the years, people having learned of our marriage longevity have made several comments. One comment we receive the most is: "Not many couples these days stay together that long."

Syria is now the latest nation experiencing a bloody interchange between a ruling family—the Assads, in power for 40 years—and citizens desirous of democracy. The Assad government has attempted to put down the rebellion through the use of force—an action which appears to be solidifying the people’s resolve.

Reading the right instructions



Last November consumers called for a boycott of Amazon.com for selling an e-book entitled The Pedophile's Guide to Love and Pleasure. Although currently it can no longer be found, as Amazon may have given in to public outcry, at first they defended their stance by saying: "Amazon believes it is censorship not to sell certain books simply because we or others believe their message is objectionable.

Immortality engineered by man?



A recent Time magazine article is titled, "2045: The Year Man Becomes Immortal." It doesn't refer to a transformation to spirit life, but a transformation called "singularity." That's when computers become hyper-intelligent and either solve aging, or actually merge with man to transform man into a cyborg or android being. Is this really immortality?

Will Christ return on May 21, 2011?



A growing movement claims that Christ will return on May 21, 2011.  Some are so convinced of this date that they have left their families and their jobs to embark on evangelistic campaigns to proclaim “the awesome news” that this date marks “the end of the world” and “the rapture” of God’s saints!  Could they be right?
