Many of us have dreamed about treasure hunting and striking it rich. The pirates of old are said to have amassed fortunes in gold, silver and jewels. Some of those riches are still hidden to this day. But there are treasures far more valuable than buried treasure chests or sunken pirate ships. Those treasures can be found in the Bible. We call them "The Promises of God".
What ever happened to sin? Let's face it, over the last 100 years there have been radical changes in the radically accepted definitions of right and wrong. When you look at the laws that have been enacted over the last century, it is apparent that whole nations have changed their views about right and wrong. Additionally, many churches have also changed their views about which behaviors to label as sinful.
Pope John Paul has just died as we film this program. Now there is urgent speculation about choosing a successor who will modernize the papacy. "Why can't women become priests?", many ask. Why teach against birth control when most Catholics practice it anyway? Why can't priests marry and have a family like everyone else? At the same time, the protestants are all divided about abortion. Many major protestant denominations are moving toward ordaining homosexuals as ministers. Who decides what is right and what is wrong? Who decides what sin really is?
Would you like to know what you personally will be doing within the next 20 to 50 years? Will you be floating around in Heaven? Will you be dead or possibly roasting in an ever burning Hell? What does the Bible really say? You need to know and prepare for what is definitely going to happen.
Picture our big city hospitals. What will happen when the next pandemic strikes? They will be overwhelmed. The doctors will probably run out of flu shots or other shots. There will be absolute panic. Do you think this can't happen here? Most of you know better. What is the only real solution for the disease epidemics predicted to strike our peoples?
