Are You Superstitious?



Superstitions come in just about every stripe imaginable. While you may laugh at others’ superstitions, do you have your own?

Many people are superstitious. Some carry a lucky rabbit’s foot, coin, gem, or medal. Some knock on wood so as not to "jinx" the outcome of a statement they made, which ancient pagans also did to invoke the benevolent acts of the tree spirits.

Nations rise and fall



Nations, kingdoms and empires come and go. The new nation of South Sudan just came into existence in Africa on July 9, 2011. Will it be like so many other nations over time that have come and gone? Why do nations rise and fall? Is there a reason?

Can we bridge the generation gap?



The older generation sees the younger generation and complains, "You can’t find young people who are reliable and willing to work hard." The younger generation sees the older generation and complains, "Old people should retire. It’s a new day and a new way." Why is there tension between the generations?
