Question: The Bible mentions a number of "giants," such as Goliath. Who or what are they? Are they human beings, or are they something different? Do they still exist?

Answer: The Bible tells us that beings of giant physical stature lived both before and after the Flood (Genesis 6:4; Deuteronomy 2:10–12, 20–23). After the Flood, giants appear in the Bible as descendants of Ham’s son Canaan; they were living in Canaan when Moses sent agents to spy out the land (Numbers 13:1–2, 32–33).

Question: Jesus Christ said, "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another" (John 13:34). Does this new commandment replace the Ten Commandments?

Answer: Sadly, even many who call themselves Christians believe that Jesus’ "new commandment" replaces the commandments He had kept and taught throughout His ministry. However, if we examine Jesus’ teaching, we will understand the truth of the matter.

Question: Jesus Christ described people going to a place called "hell" where "their worm does not die." What does this mean? Are there worms in hell, with eternal life, tormenting sinners?

Answer: Mark’s gospel quotes Jesus as saying: "It is better for you to enter into life maimed, rather than having two hands, to go to hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched—where ‘Their worm does not die and the fire is not quenched’" (Mark 9:43–44).

Question: In Acts 8, when we read of Philip preaching the gospel to the Samaritans, we read that he "preached Christ to them" (v. 5). Why, then, does your magazine preach the Kingdom of God, and not simply the person of Christ?

Question: What did the Apostle John mean when he warned that "many antichrists have come"? What is an antichrist?

Answer: To understand the term "antichrist"—which is found only in 1 John and 2 John, it is helpful to examine the scriptures that use the term. The phrase "many antichrists" occurs in 1 John 2:18: "Little children, it is the last hour, and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour."
