So say scientists at the European Organization for Nuclear Research, CERN (MSN, October 25, 2017). After ten years of study and the development of a research tool that is 350 times more precise than previous tools, a team of brilliant international scientists cannot identify an imbalance between particles and antiparticles that should theoretically exist if the Big Bang itself produced all the matter in the universe. The first author of a paper just published in the prestigious scientific journal Nature states, “All of our observations find a complete symmetry between matter and antimatter, which is why the universe should not actually exist.”
So, where is the problem? Do scientists need even more sensitive equipment to identify the theoretical asymmetry in matter? Is it possible that matter did not form directly from the Big Bang, as scientists currently believe? The Apostle Paul revealed that even “the foolishness of God is wiser than men” (1 Corinthians 1:25). He also warned against those “professing to be wise” but who are truly foolish (Romans 1:22). Human beings are incredibly intelligent and they continue to learn more and more about creation. However, science often chooses to ignore answers that it does not want to hear.
