Jail Time Over Same-Sex Marriage: Questions and Prophecy



As this commentary is being written, an elected county clerk in Kentucky has been sentenced to jail due to the conflict she perceives between her duty as a public official and her personal religious convictions about same-sex “marriage.” This raises many vital, fundamental questions—and, for students of God’s word, it should bring to mind many dire prophecies.

"Let There Be Light!"



The Holy Bible begins with a scene of sublime power: God's creation of the world around us—and His initial pronouncement in that creation is a statement profound in its simplicity and in the power it represents: "Let there be light" (Genesis 1:3)! Have you ever considered the amazing qualities of the strange substance we call "light"? Truly, it is a wonder of God's creation! What can this work of His hands teach us about our Creator?

How Will Same-Sex “Marriage” Affect You?



Many predicted it would happen, but few were ready for how it would really feel to so many Americans. The Supreme Court has ruled that same-sex “marriage” is to be legal throughout the United States, joining another 20-or-so countries where it is already legal in one form or another. But what does this mean to you? Indeed, if you are a man married to a woman, or a woman married to a man, why should this mean anything to you? You may be surprised.

Why the Church?

Is the Church supposed to be a social club? Is it an educational institution? Is it for worshiping the true God?  The Church exists for a purpose very few today understand—a purpose you need to know!
